A general overview of our system follows :

Florad Underfloor heating systems are the premiere choice in warming your home. The system comprises a series of tubes laid in the concrete slab, or underneath wooden floors. Warm water is fed through the tubes generating gentle warmth over a large broadcasting surface. A suitable heat source provides the warm water. A choice of heat sources can be used, including electric, gas, diesel or even connection to an existing fire place using a wetback. The system is managed by an intelligent controller, which is automated for your convenience.

The unique benefits

Gentle Warmth. The large broadcasting surface means lower average heating temperatures. In fact, the water temperature rarely exceeds 50deg C. This gentle warmth broadcasts out slowly and evenly, warming objects rather than the air in a manner very similar to the heat of the sun.

In contrast, conventional systems use convection heat to warm the air. The high temperatures can scorch the air causing discomfort giving rise to common complaints of dryness, stuffiness, cold spots and air movement.

 
Lower Heating Costs. No matter which heating source you choose, you can lower your heating costs. Because heat is broadcast at lower temperatures, there is less heat loss. A basic phenomena of heat is that it moves to displace colder air - in the ceilings and outside the home. The speed of displacement is directly related to increases in temperature differences. In our systems, heat is retained longer because our temperatures are lower, saving you money.

A Designers Dream. Our systems are totally invisible and silent. It is a system you design with, not around!

Warm under foot. No need to tiptoe or wear slippers. And it is beneficial to persons with arthritis and rheumatism. Asthmatics will be free of the dust movement caused by common convection heating appliances.
